ABOUT THE SERIES
Rewilding is a botanical allegory about finding our way back to our true nature, the part of ourselves that lives in pure alignment with our authentic self. In this series, that search is explored through flowers, cultivated garden blooms, and untamed wildflowers.
Wildflowers represent the instinctive part of us that longs to return home, to a place of simplicity, honesty, and inner truth. Cultivated garden blooms, tended and nurtured through human care, reflect the parts of ourselves that have been tamed, disciplined, and shaped by life.
Suspended against deep, atmospheric backgrounds, the botanicals feel both alive and contemplative, embodying the complexity and wonder of nature itself.
Rewilding is about finding the balance, a reminder that our true nature does not lie in choosing between the wild and the cultivated, but in allowing both to exist in harmony.
CARLA'S NOTES ABOUT THE WORK:
Rewilding was created at a time in my life when I was searching for a different way of living. I didn’t have a clear vision of what that would look like, and I couldn’t find the words to express it.
I had a deep desire to return to the feminine part of myself, the quiet, slow, nurturing, and creative part that longed for something new and to leave the masculine action-oriented energy that had ruled my life behind.
I picked up my camera and started creating these photos, searching Paris’s best florists for otherworldly wildflowers like greater masterwort and love-in-a-mist that I had never seen before, but felt wild and free, and the best of the cultivated garden flowers that were exquisitely beautiful, like peonies and ruffled sweet peas that felt like the tamed part of the woman I had become.
It was an unconscious yearning for a profound change, something slower, wilder, and less domesticated.
Little did I know, as I layered each flower one on top of the other, searching for the balance between the wild and the tame, the beauty and the extraordinary in the photo, I was mindfully laying the path of my deepest desires, to refind my way back to a life connected to nature. To shake off a life that had become predictable for one that felt exciting and new.
Rewilding was the precursor for one of the most courageous changes in my life, moving to Greece and inhabiting part of myself that had been forgotten for years.
Each image has a name and a message, an attribute such as honesty, introspection, resilience, and courage, a nod to what is required of us on the path home to our authentic self and a life that feels right for us.
DETAILS
Each Limited Edition fine art image is printed with archival inks on 285-gram Hahnemüle Pearl paper with a small white border. The large prints will be wrapped and sent to you in a tube.

Care & Maintenance
- IF AT ALL POSSIBLE, HAVE YOUR PRINT FRAMED RIGHT AWAY - Don't open the print from its packaging or handle it until you are at the framers. Prints can dent easily when handled, especially larger size prints, so take it directly to the framer.
- Ideally, you should only let a professional handle the print at the framers as they often handle prints by the edges with cotton gloves or clean, dry hands.
- Don’t hang your print in direct sunlight.
- Avoid hanging or storing in humid environments like bathrooms or kitchens.
- When framing, use acid-free mat and backing boards and UV glass or plexi for long life.

Shipping Information
All fine art prints are custom printed just for you and new print orders are processed within 2-3 business days from the date they are placed on our website. Processing, printing, and transit times are between 9-15 business days, depending on where the print order will be delivered. Print orders that are placed during a bank holiday or the weekend will be processed within 2 business days from the following day. You’ll be able to see the approximate transit time for your order at checkout.
If you are ordering a Limited Edition Print (prints that are sized 16 x 24 inches or larger), you will receive a Certificate of Authenticity separately which is dated and signed by the photographer and attached with a security hologram.
Please note that weather conditions, natural disasters, and unique circumstances beyond our control can affect delivery times. If there is a service disruption with the courier for your shipment, it will appear on the provided tracking information.

Integrity is one of my deepest values. Life has a way of testing what you stand for when it truly counts, and when mine has been tested, I was reminded that integrity never goes out of fashion. It is the most elegant choice a person can make. This piece stopped me. There is something both wild and composed about it, the coral blooms holding their own against the dark, and it says that truth quietly and completely. Carla has caught something most florals miss, the quiet rather than the pretty. It found exactly the right wall.
