Hello Beautiful Soul,

I hope this email finds you in the midst of doing something that makes you feel good!

Feeling good I believe is one of the most spiritual things you can do and right now what we need is to allow ourselves to feel good. 

For each of us that may be something different. Some may need to sit in a garden and listen to the birds, others may need to dance or get a plane to a new destination that makes them connect to joy and wonder. You may need to allow yourself to lie on a couch or not do something you ‘should do’ but don’t feel you want to. 

Feeling good allows us to trust ourselves to do what is right for us. 

The idea of being spiritual used to trigger the bejesus out of me primarily because I thought it involved loose clothing, incense, and lots of people singing Kumbaya.

What I realised after many years of total ignorance on the subject is that it’s something much simpler and accessible and enjoyable to each and every one of us. 

So I thought I would share with you a few ‘bog standard’ ways — some that you may already be doing — to show you are living a spiritual life. 

Believing there is more to life than what you see on this earthly plane can take time, and each one of us has the right to go at our own pace to get there or not! 

Why be bothered, you may ask? There is a sense of security when you have faith and trust that you aren’t alone, and there is a sort of magic out there that you are part of. It helps you make sense of this journey on earth. 

Bog Standard Ways to be Spiritual Whilst Still Wearing Fabulous Clothes!!!

  1. Do what you love - Yes, alignment is a spiritual step and you, my dear friends, are on this planet to find your magic and share it so doing what you love is soooo spiritual.
  2. Joy and wonder and being present - Laugh, dance, sing, hike, meditate whatever brings you into the present moment because in the present you are aware, alive, and stress free (mostly).
  3. Connection - Those little connections, whether they be at the supermarket or joining a group doing something you love or care about or being part of the community, gives you a sense of belonging.
  4. Kindness and compassion - Yes, sweet one, every time you stop and express an act of kindness, you are sharing love, and love is the ultimate vibration and spiritual act. Small things make a big difference, like making a hot cup of tea for someone when they are tired or carrying someone’s bag when you see the load is too heavy for one.
  5. Being honest with yourself and others takes you one step closer to the right path for you. Being honest with ourselves can be the hardest thing, but on the other side of the truth is more of the real us.
  6. Intuition - Connecting to our inner GPS is spirituality on steroids. Imagine the joy and trust of knowing you always have the answer and the wisdom of your body always has your back. You can ‘feel’ what is right or wrong for you.
  7. The other side of suffering - Imagine that the pain you feel right now has another side and that is of freedom, joy, and peace. Pain comes to visit us as a reminder that there are things we need to change and you can take small steps to do that.
  8. Nature - The more time you spend in nature the more insights you get into yourself, the more magic and beauty you see and you will be filled with astonishment and marvel for this extraordinary world we live in.

One day you will see the patterns and connections, the synchronicities and serendipities are no longer just lucky coincidences but a deeper connection that you, beautiful one, are a part of.

So dear ones, take good care of yourself and allow yourself to enjoy the ride of your life, make it fun and joyous, peaceful and purposeful, and keep it simple!!!
