Portrait Shoot – Sydney

The beautiful Josphine Pennicott is a talented writer and author of Poet’s Cottage.

I had the honour this summer in Sydney of photographing Josephine and her family during a book deadline and for any of you who have ever been on a book deadline you will know what a big deal it is to drag yourself away from the computer to be photographed. Many thanks Josephine.

I loved shooting Josephine for so many reasons and one of them was she felt like an old friend as we have been corresponding via our blogs for years. Another, because she sent me the most wonderful inspiration photos for her shoot including a little ‘Nellcote’ Mick Jagger and Keith Richards inspiration on the cote d’azur so I knew we were going to have fun.

Love this shot of Josephine and hubby!

Josephine and her beautiful daughter..

And the fab Daisy in a moment of calm..

And we couldn’t resist one photo in front of all those books.. Was too tempting!

Please check out the lovely Josephine’s blog here and her work here.

Grazie mille to the beautiful Josephine and family.

“I love deadlines. I love the whooshing noise they make as they go by.” Douglas Adams

Such an honour to work with you Carla.
Many people can take a photograph but you have the gift to tell a story and to capture the tale within your subject.
Thank you so much for collaborating on my inspiration list and for not balking at my mood board that contained both the Rolling Stones and Agatha Christie.
We will treasure all your photographs. So special to have them! Being photographed by you was a new experience for me as I have never even had my make up done professionally but you were amazing to work with.
I can still see the light in that gorgeous shabby chic terrace and you dancing your rock star dance and doing your Zen breaths with me to get me to relax.
The feedback has been wonderful here. Sending you warmest love from your home town and a hug containing all the Sydney blue sky and sunshine in the world.
Thank you everyone for your lovely comments. I also love the Douglas Adams quote.
