Whenever you have a difficult portrait client in front of you make them laugh, I mean really laugh and just keep shooting. It’s the best stuff!!

Hi Carla, my favs are Kate Winslet and Robert Downey. I think you are so right on all counts. I was doing a portrait shoot last year and the client was stiff as a board- stunning girl but nothing I did could get her out of that posed look- until I got her male friend who tagged along and he and I were goofing around- presto, she kept bursting into laughter, relaxed and I got some superb shots! One of my favourite pics is of my brother who I captured accidently as he broke into an all out body laugh- I just love the joyousness xxCorrina.

As I was looking at these photos I could feel a big smile on my face. I wish I could cut these all out and hang them on my wall for times when have to remember to smile. As for the men? My brother always says that you should ‘belly ache’laugh every day (like the last photo). Great photos Carla. Ann
Impossible not to smile while looking at these, Carla. And I had to try hard not to pass out over Robert Downey Jr. {One of my major, longstanding celebrity crushes…} It should be illegal to look so good. But I’m glad it’s not!
I will do anything to get a natural laugh out of my clients! I will sacrifice my dignity if I have to.
