Portrait Inspiration – Shooting Women + Ari Seth Cohen

I love shooting portrait’s of women! It is such a rewarding experience collaborating with women and seeing how beautiful they are no matter what age.

I love and admire the work of photographer¬†Ari Seth Cohen, he of the clever blog celebrating beautiful women of an ‘advanced age‘.

Clever Ari has hooked up with some of his favourite models see above and below and clever New Zealand designer Karen Walker to create these stunning photos of her new eyewear range.

Ari shot all the images in the homes of each of the ladies in their fabulous accessories, groovy clothes and divine colour combinations.

and aren’t these women stunning.. I hope when I am their age I am as fun and funky as they are.

I adore the backgrounds as well as the stunning range of Karen Walker’s eyewear.

Things I love about these images:

1. The poses.. The girls are rocking different shapes with their bodies, moving their shoulders towards the camera and giving it the fake kiss!

2. The styling and the backgrounds.. Original style and fab print backgrounds.. You can tell these women each have a unique style and own it and I adore their oversized jewels!

3. The colour… no beige or donkey here! Bright blues and oranges.. Love the anti-wallflower vibe.

4. The models.. Love the girls, they are so beautiful and creative!!

5. Ari’s photos.. A giant BRAVO to Ari..

Three cheers for celebrating women!
