Ciao Bella,

Many of you know how dear Florence is to me and this shoot was a double whammy of joy as I not only was back in dear old Italy I was photographing one of my besties.

Writer Lisa Clifford and I met in Florence almost 14 years ago and have been firm friends since. Both Librans we are the perfect combination, and we love people and their stories.

Lisa and I have much in common, both expat transplants with Italian husbands and passionate about storytelling and the human condition.

Whilst working on Naples A Way Of Love, I had the chance to see this master author at work, interviewing people we bumped into on the street, chased down through friends of friends always gently prodding with that special question I would never have thought to ask.

This gal is the real deal, they don’t come any more authentic than this beautiful soul. She now shares her expertise as a journalist and author of The Promise, Death in the Mountains and Naples A Way Of Love  with other budding writers in her writer’s retreat in Tuscany.

There was much joy and love in this shoot and I hope you can see from the pics her beauty and kindness and love of people and happiness in hearing their story.

Check out her work here Lisa Clifford Writer.

The most important thing is to read as much as you can, like I did. It will give you an understanding of what makes good writing and it will enlarge your vocabulary.” J. K. Rowling
