I’d love to introduce a gorgeous photographer Millie Brown.. Millie takes stunning travel pics and I am handing over my post to her today to give you an insider’s view to the French Rivera.
Over to Millie…
Traveling and photography are two of my greatest passions; they motivate me to travel great distances each year (albeit with far too much luggage), to blog my discoveries on Travel Notecards, and to lead a somewhat vagabond lifestyle.
I happily spend much of my time in an exquisite area of France known as the Golden Triangle, running between the three stunning small towns that make up this prestigious triangle; Villefranche sur Mer, Beaulieu sur Mer and St Jean Cap Ferrat, all within a stones throw of each other.
While 24 hours would clearly never be long enough in this paradisiacal corner of the world, lets try and make the most of it!
Beat the heat, and wake at sunrise in the elegant town of Beaulieu. Savour the delicious aroma of freshly baked bread and croissants as you make your way down to the tranquil waters of the mediterranean.
As the beach starts to fill, head to Beaulieu’s daily and colorful fresh produce market in the town square.
Grab a pastry and the best café crème in town at Gran Caffé (yes, it’s real italian coffee in France), directly opposite the market.
Work off the pastry with a 20 minute walk to Villefranche. Stroll the shoreline and take a seat on the terrace at Le Cosmo for a rosé and some lunch.
Don’t rush away from Villefranche, the charm lies in strolling its tiny pedestrian streets.
As the light and heat of the midday sun fades, meander around one of the most magnificent Villas and gardens of France, Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild in St Jean Cap Ferrat.
For dinner, grab a table by the lapping water at Anjuna Beach, Eze sur mer (2 minutes off the triangle)! however it’s magical!
If you can stay longer, do, it truly is a slice of mediterranean heaven.
